What is Mindfulness?
An animated explainer for CoachHub’s learning academy. A research-led script turned into a calm, vector-style piece built inside the CoachHub design system.
My role
Tools
“What is Mindfulness?” is a motion design project created for CoachHub’s learning academy, the learning platform used by coaches and coachees. The brief was deceptively simple: explain what mindfulness actually is, in just over two minutes, in a way that feels as calm as the subject itself.
The process started with a research-led, story-driven script. My job was to translate that narrative into a visually engaging animated piece that lived inside the CoachHub brand: its values, its design system, its colour and type language. All without ever feeling like a corporate lecture.
Every frame was drawn as clean vector art in Adobe Illustrator, then brought to life in Adobe After Effects. Below you’ll find the final illustrations, the style frames, and the storyboard that carried the piece from script to screen.
01 · The Look
Drawn in vector, built for motion
The entire project was illustrated in Adobe Illustrator. Every character, scene and prop is clean vector art, designed not only to look right as a still, but to deform, morph and settle naturally as it moves.

02 · Style Frames
The look, locked before a single keyframe
Before animation began, the visual language of the film was locked in a set of style frames. This is where the calm palette, the character design and the layout rules were established, so the animation stays consistent from the first frame to the last.

03 · Storyboard
Every shot, planned before it moved
The storyboard turned the script into a shot-by-shot blueprint. Framing, action, transitions and timing. Animating in After Effects then became a matter of executing the plan with confidence, rather than improvising it on the timeline.
